The Strategist
The Strategist digs into the structure of the goal, and what needs to change in order to reach the goal. They then observe the patterns, explore the obstacles, and build strategies around those issues - not just the objective.
The Strategist may find it difficult to take the strategy and move it into the tactical measures necessary to reach the goal because they are so focused on the details that go into the plan. The Strategist does well to have a strong team that is more skilled in the action steps necessary to ensure the game plan is driven to the desired result. The Strategist and their team frequently hit goals because they take the time to get into the strategies needed to accomplish them. Their team revs on the successes made in the past and are open to push to bigger goals. They stretch and drive for huge wins not only for themselves, but also for the company.
If they do not have a team, they may want to look for ways to build one or outsource duties to a highly motivated and skilled individual. If the strategist is relying on themselves to get the job done, it may be easier if they break down the tactical to do list into smaller steps with short time involvement to keep it moving forward.
The Strategist is already on a great path for goal setting. They are breaking down the goals into reasonable pieces, and communicating it in a way their team is thriving on. If they are not already, they could structure rewards on hitting the bigger stretch goals. They could also help the teams in weighing into the strategies that need to be used by asking the team to evaluate the goals they have, what the current realities are around this,what the opportunities are to address those challenges and build out the strategies from there.
