Optimist
The Optimist
The Optimist is powerful at setting a goal and then will it into action. They are frequently lucky, and so setting structured goals and strategies may seem like a waste of time. When things do not happen the way they hoped, they may chalk it up as not meant to be and move to the next thing.
The Optimist may have difficulty leading a team because it can be difficult for people to understand how to accomplish the dream without clear guidelines. The larger the team gets, the more challenging it can be for the team to follow. Thus may lead to frustration, decreased engagement, and a desire for stronger communication from their leader.
To strengthen leadership goal communication, the Optimist can start with the objective and clarify it with a SMART goal (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time oriented). From there, the leader would start to strategize on what needs to be done, and who the players are. Then communicate it in a way that outlines clearly what everyone's role is. Your team will be happier, and you can drive results further.
